Cube error rates

My explanation wasn't probably clear enough, so just the essence:
the question is not whether doubling too early is worse or better than doubling too late (btw. early/late cost should reveal that), but that the ER calculated as it is penalizes the late doubler (up to a ridiculous level in some cases) more than the early doubler.
My wish is to get some insight/ideas to come up with something better.
BTW have you read my answer/plea related to Depereli/XG rollouts. Due to MC and my late response you might have easily overlooked it
