I think one could apply your reasoning not just to recurring cube errors but to all errors in one game.
Suppose I make an error which costs me 99% MWC. Then I'm lucky and become a big favorite in the match again, but then I again throw 99% MWC away. The cumulative error is now 198%, but this is of course not what my errors have cost me because you can't lose more than 100% of one match.
What my errors have really cost me is 99% + 1% chance of becoming favorite again * 99%, so 99.99%.
