Snowie does (I think) "A's total equity loss was 30% MWC, B's was 15% MWC, hence B was a 65-35 favourite".
This is how Snowie calculates this. MWC/A - MWC/B + 50 = 'favorite'.
In your example is it more accurate to say that "A was a 15% favorite"? I don't know, but that seems to be the the other way to report this.
Obviously, with Snowie's method, you can have more than 100% favorite if A gives up more than 50% compared to B. Right or wrong, greater than 100% is not some 'calculation error', it is just the results of that formula.
