The formula certainly does capture the information it claims to. It compares the two players MWC% error rates, both of which were computed based on the 'perfect' play of the bot. What else should it be doing?

Comparing the two player's MWC% error rates is certainly rational and tells you something about who was the favorite and by how much. Whether you want to add 50% to that so you have these two numbers (65% vs. 35%) that always add to 100% is the question.

If I play 10% better than you am I a 60-40 favorite? Or am I a 10% favorite? Or am I a 55%-45% favorite? You decide.
