That's incorrect. The "No Double" equity a bot gives, is still a cubeful equity, i.e. it takes future cube usage into account.
So if the bot dings you 0.2 for not doubling, this is the average loss from not doubling NOW.
The loss from never doubling will likely be a lot higher, as this is basically the equity with opponent holding the cube at 1.
In my example of CL 0.5, ND 0.7, D/T 0.9, your equity when NEVER doubling (but allowing opponent to double), will be the D/T equity divided by 2: 0.45. This is even less than the cubeless equity, because of your opponent's exclusive cube access.
