OK, I understand now, you are saying that the discrepancies will average out in the long run. My feeling is that they will not average on the long run. However, seeing that I have three competent opinions against mine, maybe I'm wrong after all. I will have to work out a simple, idealized example in order to see whether the "naive" Snowie formula does the job.
