Actually my feelings were in Part 2, I think.

If you mean my overall feelings on the entire concept, I have mixed ones. I like the current practice BUT am not so naive to believe that cheating doesn't occur (even in the US).

As always it's a give & take. (More on that in other posts.) You usually have to give up something to make a change/gain. One must decide if the loss is worth the gain. To me, anything that increases the integrity of the game gets a lot of weight and I'm likely willing to give up some aesthetics (or whatever the right word is) for that.
