In Response To: Controversy in the Chou (Seth)

Likewise, if a player showed that he was in fact hitting a checker, but, forgot to put it on the bar, the hit would be allowed.

To clarify, no indication of a hit was made until after he picked up his dice.

However, he was lifting the checker while the dice were still in his hand, and as Carter mentions, making the play without hitting would be suicidal. So one could infer from that that his intention was to hit.
