Yes, I do play for fun.

"Nobody can sit around and tell me that they're in it for fun, blah blah blah, unless the stakes are so low as to literally not care. You play a chouette to win money."
Wrong!
I play chouettes primarily for fun, and I am sure I am not alone. Sure it is nice to win money in the process, but heck, I love the game and love to play. Why else would I join the chouette with 3 Giants already in the game when there is another game a few tables down? Why else would I sit around playing online with no money at stake?
And why do the fish who lose money week after week keep coming back for more? Yes, some of them are delusional and believe that their turn is sure to come and they will come out on top - starting next time. But I have to believe that many of them play because they love the game and the excitement and the social scene and are willing to pay for the entertainment.
