Isn't that exactly what happened? However, as you know, even if two people are partners in the box, one cannot take or drop a cube without talking to the other, and the other can act independently. In making offers, the parties are supposed to consult and agree, or one buys the other out. I would NOT be make a settlement or deal that includes you without your permission, and in this case, YOU DID NOT AGREE with the settlement and I offered to pay for you.

Yes, we were completely in the right and we were giving in to the emotions and anger of people who were wrong. But that was OUR OPINION and that of most other seasoned players here. But there was a gray area in that we were dealing with people who truly felt they were wronged and who did not have our experience, and the chouette was about to completely break up. Further, I felt damn lucky to lose 1 point or a wash instead of the 4 we would have lost on all 4 cubes if he had picked up that checker.
