I have often refered to the wisdom of my father and I have to do it again. He told me that if you sit down and play any game for money you no longer have friends at the table. They will take your money and never regret it.
He also said if I sit at a game he is in he will take my money. We can be father and son after the game.
Learn the rules. ALl of the rules. This way no one can ever take advantage of you or try to pull a fast one. Rules are in a game for a reason and dont ever be upset of you screw up because you did not know the rules.
Funny thing about my dad. He had no friends when he gambled, but after the game they all loved him for his kindness and generosity. What a Jeckyl and Hyde he was. I cant tell you how much I miss him.
Phil, if I was in the game and I misplayed that 6-2 I would expect you to enforce the rule. If you didnt then I know with enough complaining I and everybody else will be able to force you to bend over again. I commend you for your actions, but as my dad said, there is no such thing as a friendly game when money is involved.
