Legal plays

Phil .. Now, if I sit down to the table and the match is being taped or recorded, I am happy to agree to play legal moves, and in that case, as in the chouette, I will make sure we make legal moves. If he doesn't pick up a checker that could only have been hit if the move was made legally, I will insist it be picked up whether it is to my advantage or not if I had agreed to legal moves.
Frank .. Phil I have agreed with you so far on everything you said until this one. If you are in a tour and in a match prior to the finals, I cannot see how anyone can change the rules of the tour just because it is recorded or taped. No one person (not stating you or anyone in particular) is above the rules that can change them at anytime. For me all matches but the finals must be played as is whether they are recorded or not.
The finals is different. The outcome only affects those two players and no one else. I could see a minor adjustment to my thinking though. I could also include this in the semi's only if the other semi players are consulted and they ok it. They would know what was being done and how it could affect them as well. If they said no, then legal play will not be allowed just cause it is being recorded.
