Thanks Stick,

the limitation of my English and my lazyness had kept me away from expressing my opinion on this issue, but your posting is an exact image of what I think about this issue.

And, I had been in Cannes and must say that what ragoon, 6425, Iancho said about the event / WSOB are mostly valid points.

A couple of players I talked to in Cannes said they wouldn't play in Prague / London later because they just don't trust the system or didn't like the way and obstacles the tourney was held.

Well, time will tell. I hope that WSOB in general will prospect, because I think we need these huge events to make BG more popular.

On the other hand: IF everything would have been very clear and straight upfront, and if no strange circumstances would have occurred, and if there wouldn't have been any rescheduling 2 weeks before the final show.... then there would have been no critics and no fishy taste/smell at all.

Let's hope that this is just a (necessary) part of the learning process for the WSOB and it's organizers and everything will turn out fine.

BTW: I liked the video updates and the live streaming of the important BG matches from Prague. WSOB has set up a new standard in this regard; it was very enjoyable to watch!
