This is a reasonable principle in certain circumstances. But I think you might have a different view if you lived in a country (or were close to someone who lived in a country) in which dissidents and their families were routinely imprisoned, tortured, and killed. The stakes on this forum aren't that high, of course. Nevertheless, I applaud Stick for supporting anonymity on this forum at least in principle, and refusing to eliminate it just because some people are (arguably) abusing their anonymity to some extent. There are times when the ability to remain anonymous is very valuable.
