This is ridiculous. He only had one play. Who cares if the dice were still down.
Letting player A invalidate the roll in this situation is a good way to kill the chouette. You want to keep the atmosphere casual - as casual as it can be when people are swearing at each other and pulling out knives, etc. - and the rules should not be approached as if it's the finals at Monte Carlo. Then again, from what I've heard Monte Carlo might be more like the Chicago chouette than I'd like to think.
