YES! absolutely kudos to Elayne. She's kept backgammon alive in Florida and with ABT events in the East. I am sorry to hear that she is retiring, hopefully I will still get to see her at other events and continuing giving/getting hugs and kisses.

Running tournaments is not easy, nor ever without challenges. Those that do so are always candidates for targeting critical remarks. It comes with the job! But as Joe says, criticizing in private is more respectful and better manners. I am sorry to hear that Adam went off so publicly.
