Ditto my earlier comment.

Between 21*,11 and 21*,6 I'll go weenie. Could Joe have considered Nack might not give up the anchor? He might consider it but I doubt Nack would go along and Joe would have known that. Back then people thought: "well, if he comes off the anchor to hit then he's giving up the anchor, so I get something in return." Something can be worth less than nothing -- that part wasn't well understood.
