Hey Neil, lots of verbiage to describe the picture, but it does make it clear as to "unlikely taking a shot" scenario.

As a director, I would have made all the same rulings as you proposed for the different scenarios presented.

And when I tell two players that there is to be no further conversation during the match, other than "double...pass...take", that is what I expect. Therefore when the trailer reports the PoS occurrence, I would likely have penalized the leader with a penalty point (of course only doing so after verifying the reported occurrence with leader and kibitizers).
