...posts here on BGonline in a thread the last couple weeks slamming my good men Howard and Pat...

Although I'm glad both plan to change their procedures, and I'm glad airing the issues here had an effect, I disagree with the word 'slammed'.

I can't speak for others but I don't consider bringing up an issue as a bulldozer method for getting things changed. We discuss it diplomatically, giving our opinions are reasons. That is what I saw, and I just reread many (although not every) post in that thread.

Yes, there have been contentious threads here that have degraded to namecalling, etc., but I don't feel this was one of them. In fact if the comments had been vicious I suspect it would have been harder to get reasonable people such as Patrick and Howard to reconsider their long held practices.

Once again backgammon has made a small change for the better emanating from civil discussions here at BGOnline. Let's keep it up, but only by continuing to maintain civility.
