(22,6) looks like it gets gammoned a lot less than any other play. ATS you must be careful about trading gammons for wins(mec26): lose reg =.5; lose gammon= .25; win reg = .812. The trade for wins versus gammons =31.2/25. With (22) being a must, is there any play with the two that creates more wins than (6). I think not. (4) is interesting in that it may preserve your backgame, but if does not contain as well as (6), which has going forward possibilities, and it surely gets gammoned a lot more. My guess is that it wins significantly less. (22,6).
