Getting gammoned is Very Bad, so I don't feel that we can play 24/23 13/11 or 13/10 or 24/22 8/7. 6/3 can't be better than both 24/23 6/4 and 8/7 8/6 so I remove it from further consideration. So it's down to 24/23 6/4 versus 8/7 8/6. In favor of 8/7 8/6 is that it is much more flexible and gives some chances of making another home-board point and/or attacking White's back checker. In favor of 24/23 6/4 is that it prepares the back checker to jump out and threatens White's blot. My first inclination was to play 8/7 8/6 but as I look at it longer I like 24/23 6/4 better. The pressure on White's blot makes a number of White's rolls more awkward to play (6's for example).

24/23 6/4
