Naccel reference cards

Naccel reference cards are a great idea, Jim. (I've called them Naccel flash cards.)

Mostly I've recommended cards for drilling basic formations, putting them in different quadrants, different colors, etc., with one position on each side and the counts in the lower or upper right (which you can cover with a finger you're using to hold the card). And not just squads of a couple/few checkers. Certain poofs come up a lot, are extremely useful, and can involve as many as ten or even fifteen checkers.

I like your concept of drilling entire (15 + 15) positions, too, especially if it involves the interaction of jotting down a counting method on the back whenever a new one occurs to you. I would tend to think of full position practice as a supplement to the basic drills, but if one is clearly more fun than the other, do that.

Congratulations on posting your first Naccel position. I didn't realize it was posting Gnu positions in general that was holding you up, and in truth I didn't know about Tim's helpful page either. What is the link for that? I know at least a couple of people that perhaps could use it.

Here's an additional tip: in general, I remove all html above (and including, for that matter) the line that says "Board" and below (and including) the line that says "End Board." That gets rid of "The Score..." and "Move number..." which in many cases you won't want there. (I usually overwrite the caption if I want to say any of that -- it makes the diagram more compact; the reader has to do less scrolling.)

Nack
