Hit Loose?

In Response To: Hit Loose? (W Womack)

The first position your roll plays awkwardly if you don't double hit. (where do you play the 2 if you split? If you don't split, there's really only one play left) In the second position the entire roll plays quite nicely without double hitting. This may seem like a basic answer but it's the 'why'.
