Not sure if you're joking, but to me, the larger the error I make, the more crucial it is for me to understand it.
For a while one of my biggest sources of gigantic errors was missing some obvious hits. How idiotic is that? However, an even bigger mistake would be to brush off the error as a momentary lapse. Instead I tried to figure out what it was that made my miss the hit. Sometimes it was because I was on the bar hoping to hit a blot on (say) my opponent's four point. I rolled 3-2 and assumed that I missed, completely overlooking the fact that I could play bar/23 24/21*. Other times it was a complicated and unfamiliar position and I overlooked that my 6-4 would hit because it was such a large leap. Diagnosing the problem was 85% of the solution in these cases.
In general the quickest way to improve is to focus on your biggest errors first, no matter what those errors may be.
