My cubing windows were developed from Paul Lamford's "Improve Your Backgammon", page 96 and 98. He suggest cubing in volatile positions occur at 50% of the cubing window and about 67% at non volatile positions. I charted the Snowie and GNU cubing windows at various scores and various gammon chances at 50% and 63%. Eventually, useful cubing windows when the gammon rate is between 10% and 25% were developed. Gammonless cubing windows were developed by the study of typical gammonless positions.
These charts are necessary because I simply cannot perform the traditional risk - reward calculations based on Match Equity Chart in a timely fashion. These charts have served me well over the last several years.
My Snowie rating was 5.97 during my last 63 online games of 5 points or more.
