Bill, I suspect that you will adopt some kind of playoff system and that it will most likely work reasonably well (or better than that!) and if not next year's tournament will improve on your experience this year.

But considering the difficulty in finalizing a playoff system that is fair, transparent and covers all possibilities, I wonder if a playoff system is obviously better than simply ending the tournament after 11 rounds?
