WBA rules

I just measured (what I consider) a rather small board which I have. Opened, the outside dimensions are 46 cm (in the direction of the players) X 57 cm (side to side) so it meets the WBA standard. The checkers are 3.5 cm (1 3/8 inch) diameter.
Relevant dimensions are the size of the playing surfaces, which are usually but not always tied to the size of the checkers. For example, if a board has a wide frame and especially if it has a lot of area for storage of equipment, the outside dimensions aren't particularly meaningful.
Another issue is the number of checkers that fit across (player-to-player direction) the board. In my experience, 11 checker units is pretty much a minimum standard. (As an example, that distance in my Taki board is 11 3/4 checkers.)
