Want to make a bet about what the program written by Chuck and Frank will say?

Interesting story behind that. A few years ago we were invited to make a presentation to Susquehanna International Group (SIG), who many of you probably know because they've hired (at least for a short time :) many top backgammon players, like NeilKaz, Howard Ring, and David Wells.

Frank gave the presentation (I was connected via conference line) and at the end there were some questions. One of them was this exact situation -- trailing by 15 late in the game. (They stipulated a time on the clock, but I don't remember it.) BTW, sitting in the room was Bill Chen, an SIG employee and double WSOP bracelet winner (also coauthor of The Mathematics of Poker). These guys were asking a loaded question -- because they had already worked out the answer.

Frank was a bit nervous (he told me later) because you're really putting your reputation on the line in a situation like this. So he put the numbers into his laptop, and...

...breathed a big sigh of relief.
