MCG, when you answered 'no', I wasn't sure which issue you were replying to, and still isn't clear to me. Did you mean "no, it's not better to go for 2 at 8-away than at 9-away", or "no, there is no need for further discussion" or "no, it isn't obvious..." or ??

I now think I understand the distinction between dominant vs. otherwise, thanks to both your examples and Casper's explanations. I'm just unclear how that addresses my contention(s).
