Respectfully disagree. As a new tournament player I read (most) OT posts with interest -- gives me a chance to learn something personal, and genuine, about some of the established players in this community. I believe that Nack Ballard over-states his case, however eloquently, when he argues that the option to ignore OT posts is a grossly inadequate solution. If a reader isn't interested in a post or a thread, is it really that hard to scroll to the next one?

Not sure what Stick had in mind at the outset, but this forum has become as much about individual players as it is about the Game -- and that is a good thing, IMO. Best to tread very carefully when pressuring people to filter their speech or opinions, in this or in any other community.
