Rich Munitz and Orrin Hatch

I read recently that Orrin Hatch, of all people, has come out publicly in support of the proposed mosque near Ground Zero. My thought at the time: I've been reading about this bozo for 35 years and this is the very first time I can recall ever agreeing with ANY position the man has ever supported. I was reminded of this just now when I read Rich Munitz's post, but in this case it's the first time that I can recall DISAGREEING with Rich on any position he has ever supported. IMHO, it's just not right for a seasoned player to use table talk to try to dupe some clueless rube into turning the cube when it's clearly wrong to turn the cube. This isn't "social" gamesmanship - it's bad sportsmanship, period.
Many on this forum seem to agree that an expert should not, for example, sit by silently when his novice opponent is playing on while forgetting to hit his clock (I have been that distracted clock novice, more than once, in my brief ABT experience). As I see it, this "It's OK to double now, my friend" business is proactively dishonest, and is way worse behavior than (for example) silently ignoring a rookie's clock bumbling.
