I'm coming to the view that clocks are a good thing online too. PlayWSOB has them (rather generously set at 20s/move + 90s/point) and I'm increasingly playing there instead of FIBS. Not only is it a good way to get used to them for real-life tourneys, I've had far too many online games where things go dead for a couple of minutes, when oppo comes back it turns out he's doing something like multi-tabling poker at the same time and had a big hand that required some thought. At least if I get a forfeit out of it it makes up for the sheer boredom of hanging around... :)
