I'm not talking about picking nits. I'm talking about people who do NO shaking whatsoever.

I hear you. But I don't feel like I'm nitpicking, either, when I ask these questions. You are a person who believes in following the rules yourself, and you expect no less from your opponents. Unfortunately sometimes we're stuck with wishy-washy rules. No question that not shaking at all is against the rules, though.
