I feel that a well constructed bafflebox entirely eliminate the need for shaking the dice. Actually it shouldn't be necessary to use cups at all! If you play using a good bafflebox without cups, you save approx. 1-2 seconds per move!

This is parallel to the true (IMO) advantage of dice tubes -- the time savings.

I wonder if the time (and money) investment in a portable (meaning fits into most common 1 3/4 inch ~4-4.5 cm checker size boards), randomizing baffle box would be worth it, given the current climate.
