I concur with Bower's points for using one set. All the responders in this whole thread are "pro one set". As a TD, I get fewer rulings and the timely flow of the clocked events works really well with one set. I would not want to make an exception for a few players.

I have a wheelchair player who has dexterity problems with picking up the dice. So when we clock one of his matches, I allow two sets of dice. He hits the clock when completing his play and THEN picks up his dice. This accommodates his slowness in getting hold of the dice and taking them off the board. When the DICE TUBES appeared on the BG scene, he purchased one and he definitely uses it in all clocked matches now and also typically in non-clocked as well.

The mechanics of the game are so much smoother (and quieter) with one set of dice. I have even had players request using one set of dice in non-clocked matches just because it is mechanically smoother. The rhythm of BG is much more pleasant with one set of dice. I will not change it for my events. ____________patrick
