BREAKING NEWS_ UPDATE: Los Angeles Open / USBGF Tournament of Stars

OK, I got the message! I am expanding the OPEN division to allow all comers to enter. We were already max'd out at 64 players and currently have a WAIT list of 5 players. I did some consulting with Butch Meese and considered two options for expansion--the most critical issue is how to fit in the EXTRA ROUNDS (one in the Main Draw and 1-2 in the SecondChance bracket?).

We will be using a Double-Elimination-96 player grid, all matches clocked, and still can get it done in TWO DAYS of play. The only unknown will be "conflicts" arising between players alive in multiple events contending for time on SUNDAY. This only works because the Main matches are already set at 9-points and the Second-Chances at 7-points.

SO PLEASE CONSIDER THE LOS ANGELES OPEN and USBGF events JUNE 9-12, 2011. See the SCHEDULE at our website: GammonAssociates.com (choose "Our Next ABT Event" from the leftside menu).
