In Response To: NY Ruling Dispute (neilkaz)

To avoid any misinterpretations I have developed the discipline to always adjust by grabbing the dice from the sides with two outstretched fingers and clearly sliding the dice on the playing surface, never allowing the other fi gers or palm of my hand to be over the dice. The numbers should never be obscured from view. My adjustments look clearly different from my dice lifting.

While I do not believe the current rule considers the turn ended if both players agree that the dice did not leave the playing surface, I favor a rule that if the dice are touched after a legal play has been made, the turn is over. No reason why any adjusting of dice cannot be done before the checkers are moved. Of course clocks make this moot.
