Nack says that as a rule, either five point beats either four point. Is this an exception?

Blue has an extra checker on the 8pt. That sways things a little in favor of the 4pt, but by itself I don't think it would be enough. A little more significant is that White's 8pt spare is now a guard on the 24pt. A virgin board for Blue is particularly annoying when White has an anchor-and-guard formation, and of course Blue has less urgency to anchor when White has less ammunition up front.

I'd go with the 4pt but I imagine it's close.
