1. 16/15*/9* risks giving White a decent backgame, and gammon wins don't count ATS. On the other hand, what's the alternative? 16/11 13/11 seems to be the main plausible alternative, and I'm not convinced it actually wins more often. I'll go with 16/15*/9*.

2. The obvious solid play is 13/3 12/7 8/3. Alternatively, since our gammon value is elevated and White's board is blotty, we could try blitzing with 6/1*(2) 8/3(2). This will surely lose more games; does it win enough extra gammons, given that White already has the golden anchor? Not sure. But I have to play something so I'll try the blitz.

3. I think we have to play safe here. Which is better, 6/5 6/2 or 5/4 5/1? 6/5 6/2 looks a little better, avoiding blots and gaps.
