1. We know from the previous quiz that 24/13 was played OTB. This creates an ugly stack on the midpoint and leaves a vulnerable blot in our outfield, but has the advantage of escaping our last checker when it works. Alternatives include 16/5 or 16/10 13/8 or 24/18 16/11. Of these, 16/5 looks best to my eye. Still, it seems we should race when ahead in the race. 24/13.

2. With the cube turned, surely making the 5pt would be a next. It leaves only 5 shots and White has a blot in her board. But if we want to guarantee not being hit, we can play 13/10 11/10. QF suggests that making the 5pt is wrong but I'm making the 5pt anyway.

3. Do we make our 2pt? It should win more gammons, but it does improve White's timing. If we don't make the 2pt, can we bust White's timing? A "normal" move like 17/8 looks like it will give White pretty good timing. The best chance for winning the timing battle looks like slotting the 2pt without covering it, hoping to get hit. We could get trapped if we get hit but it doesn't look too likely.

If we slot the 2pt, what are the remaining three 2's? There's not too much danger of White winning going forwards even if we're hit, but having five blots seems unnecessarily risky nonetheless; we should probably clean some of them up. We can clean all of them up with 17/13 12/10 4/2, or we could clean some of them up with something like 17/13 6/2 if we want to play 6/4. Lots of choices and it's hard to judge the relative merits. I'll try 17/13 6/2 but without much confidence.
