The greatest benefit to JavaFibs is also its greatest drawback. The program is portable since it's based on the Java architecture. I could probably run the thing on a mobile device if it supported Java. On the other hand, I have a netbook or smartbook that runs Microsoft Windows CE 7. That's not related to the operating system most people call Windows 7. It can't run Java, which means I'm out of luck when I want to connect to Fibs. The system software doesn't really support anything that I could use to connect to the server.
