PR tournament. Clock time out. Ruling?

"I wondered about this question, and I asked the director before the first match what happens if someone times out and was told you lose both PR and match. I reminded the participants of this rule at the start of every match I recorded. Whether the rule is fair or not is a different issue, but to me, the rule was clearly stated ahead of time"

I agree that the rule being fair or not or the "right" rule is a different issue.

I am still hoping for more verification that the rule was indeed stated in advance. Note the following:

i) I asked specifically about this in my duel strategy thread in which Bill participated and no answer was given there.

ii) You asked about the rule and reminded the participants of games you recorded is not at all the same as "the rule was clearly stated ahead of time".

iii) MCG says "I don't know what happens here" shortly after the expiration.
