It seems like there would be some interesting strategies. I assume the player getting the aces never needs to make the ace point, as he essentially has it as soon as the game starts, as far as an entering point for his opponent. The other side should opt for races as entering from the bar seems like it would be difficult, as your opponent essentially starts with a two point board, without having to devote any checkers to the 2nd point. That leaves him with 13 checkers to work on the other 4 points. The side taking the 7 to 1 should opt for making his own ace point in a blitz, to prevent easy entering from the bar.

One question, when the player getting the aces is on the bar and his opponent owns his own ace point and rolls a one, does the player get to play the ace or is it not allowed, as he is on the bar?
