eXtreme Gammon Version: 2.10

I'm not sure how to explain this one. We have an ace point which should point to attacking game plan. If I have to guess, I'd say it's the non-commitment principle; with better home board points we keep our options open for both attacking and priming games, whereas here hitting commits us to an all-out attack and we don't really have enough ammunition in the hood. Splitting back checkers is more flexible. (?)
