It depends on what firewall software you are using on Win7. Win7 has a built in firewall but often times people use the firewall from an Antivirus company (Mcafee, Avast, Symantec/Norton etc). All of them are different when it comes to blocking/unblocking ports etc.

Do you know what firewall you might be using, are you using one of the security products mentioned above (or another?)

Before I go any further can you do this experiment to see if your ports really are blocked. Click on these 2 links (They are my main webserver set to monitor port 2004 and 2086):

http://www.capp-sysware.com:2086

Click both, If they aren't blocked a message should be returned saying "2004 Not Blocked" for the first link and "2086 Not Blocked" for second link. I chose 2086 because that is also the port for Gammonzone Room on SHG.
