I make no claim that I understand massive backgames like this, but i'd make teh 9 point and then bring one down with 13/10. I don't care about the blots, in fact i want to be hit.

Maybe the right idea is to strew a bunch of blots around so that white almost has to hit one, i.e. 13/10 20/18. But I don't have it in me at the moment to make that play.
