I made a board for Matt and proudly brought it to the chouette one day. He loved it. It was perfect, just what he wanted. We then sat down to play, not on the new board, he wanted to keep that perfect. It sat to the side, open for all the players to admire. Inevitably, a series of extremely unlucky rolls cost Matt a bunch of points in the box. He calmly got up, went over to his brand new board, picked it up, checkers, dice and all and threw it against the concrete wall!! Then he came over and, without a word, sat down again. The board was fine. RIP, Matt. You were a friend.
