Bill Phipps: I just looked up and added your data to my 2012-2013 list, http://home.roadrunner.com/~kenlarsen/bgUSgiantslast2years.htm Your rating is 1.427.
Later today I'll look up your 2009-2011 data and add it to my list that goes back five years.
The only means I currently have for collecting data is manually reading draw sheets from http://usbgf.org/member-ratings/ It takes me five hours to do 10 people, so I haven't been able to do everyone. I mostly picked people who had won a lot of ABT points over 2009-2013. You only won 14.25 over all those five years and all were won in 2012.
Barry Silliman is working on some software to automate the reading of the draw sheets. If he's successful, we'll be able to display ratings data for over 600 ABT point collectors. Barry thinks he may have something ready within the ten two weeks.
I don't have data for non-main ABT events like Masters, because ABT points are not assigned to those events. You'll have to ask ABT czar Bill Davis why that is. I suspect it's because Master events have very steep entry fees, and awarding points to them would skew the yearly ABT points race to favor the rich.
I agree with you that a true Giants list should be based on more years than just two. I prefer five years, but the Giants voting directions now stipulate that the focus should be on 2012-2013. I didn't write the rules.
I would like to expand my list to include non-U.S. tournaments. Some of those tournaments should carry higher weight like Monte Carlo. Unfortunately none of the non-U.S. tournaments has an ABT-like points system. Some award points, but the system is different. A lot of work will have to be done to convert from one system to another.
