Joe, there are a good mix of data, which cause us to not get these division populations. We get this mix through a lot of rated matches that comes from "cafe weeklies / club weeklies", and a lot of matches from the team leagues, which mix players from different individual divisions. But mostly I think this problem is solved simply because our data go back so long and have so many matches rated, combined with the fact, that our total population physically lives in Denmark, which is a small area, not really isolating people the way you get physically isolated in the US.

The equivalent solution for the USBgF, would be to get a lot more of the lower level gammon into your system. You only rate the "tip of the iceberg" so to speak, where in DBgF the foundation is made from rating a lot of matches that are "leading up to" the big tournaments.

To give you an idea of how much is rated, the most active players in a given year, typically gets around 3000 Exp/TMP (Total Match Points) rated. The typical player gets around 1000 Exp/TMP.

And yes, at the big tournaments such as Nordic Open, players are mixed at all the rated sideevents, to some extend (warm-up, qualifiers, jackpots, mini-jackpots, team event, (non consulting) double event, speed). And then the entire DBgF population is mixed at the various Danish championships, etc. But I recon that the different "weekly" tournaments are where the populations really gets mixed.
