I disagree with your reference examples. They all have one additional feature that is not present in the posted position (an extra checker back). This dramatically changes the playing landscape, in terms of style, aggression, gammon win rates, and overall equity.

Please note in the posted position that white has a race lead, not blue. White has only one checker back, and if blue misses the first shot, he will be waiting for a reship to 4 before he gets another shot. That of course depends on maintaining the small lead, or changing it.
